Our group mainly investigates the pathogenies of inflammation-induced pulmonary disease, especially
allergic airway inflammation (asthma) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (bacterial lung injury,
COVID-19). We found that acyloxyacyl hydrolase promotes allergic inflammation by degrading gut-derived
LPS (JEM, 2018) and facilitates the resolution of LPS- or Gram-negative bacteria-induced lung injury (Plos
pathogen, 2017). Moreover, we identified several novel biomarkers of COVID-19 and asthma and
discovered several promising candidate drugs that might help treat patients with COVID-19 and asthma
(Frontiers in immunology, 2022).
